About me

Greetings traveler

Somehow, someway, your internet journey has brought you to my humble website. Whether by accident or through an act of fate, I request that you stay awhile and listen.

I am an independent, hobbyist artist, wanting to share my works with others in the hope that they’ll bring as much joy to the people viewing them as they brought me in creating them. I won’t aggrandize myself to you, though; I am still learning and my art is fraught with flaws, things that need improvement, but I realized that if I don’t share the work that I have now, I most likely never will. Because I’ll never consider it good enough.

So, I present my art blog to you, warts and all. And I hope you find it enjoyable.

A little thing I did to promote my blog on TikTok.

I carved these during a nature hike I went on with a relative. There’s no feeling quite like discovering something unusual out in the woods and that’s what I was going for. I hope someone else comes across it and adds their own art!

A little late to the party posting this milestone; it actually happened three days ago, ha ha. Oops. I’ve been busy with work and taking photos for bugs.bugbeast.me. I also went without internet for awhile - again - but that problem should (hopefully) be sorted on a more permanent basis now.

I haven’t been mindlessly wasting my days away waiting to be online again, though. I have quite a few projects I’ve been working on. I have a TikTok account now, which will mostly be for aesethic-y nature videos and stuff. I’ll post a link to it when I have a video I think merits posting here, but you can pretty easily find it on your own if you desire. And as mentioned previously, I’ve kinda gotten obsessed with amateur photography lately - I have literally hundreds of pictures to post - but they’re mostly nature related so they’ll go up on my nature blog. So, check that out if your haven’t. Please lol.

Anyway, there’s my little miletstone/update post. Sorry for the hiatus, thanks for all the notes, and peace out for now!

Jewel Thief is an asymmetrical, competitive card-matching game I designed with help from a relative (TheAfterGloe; he makes music! Check him out, please). It is my precious child and will be receiving two reviews in the future and I am soooo nervous and excited and anxious and-

Anyway, the game works similar to the memory match games you may have played as a kid (or maybe you still do, if so that’s cool, maybe you’ll like this then) except while one player matches cards, another player (the titular Jewel Thief) periodically removes cards from the board. There’s also three other rule variations that mix up the gameplay substantially, but I won’t get into that right now.

The game is available for purchase, and while I’d love for you to buy my game, you should probably wait for the reviews to come out. It might suck!

BUT, if you’d like to try the game it’s possible to play with a standard 52-card deck and I’ve included the rules on how to do that below the fold.

The other three rule variations could also probably be played with a standard deck, I just need to write rules on how to play those that way. I may update this post in the future with those variations. Until then:

Peace

Here’s a little computer game I made ages ago (2015 according to the file details). It’s called Big Red Balloon and it’s similar to the Balloon Trip mode in Balloon Fight, except it’s randomly generated. I made it for the sole purpose of having a game to put a song in because I was trying to learn Fl Studio at the time to make music for my games. I think I spent about 9 hours messing around with the software, 3 of which was spent making Big Red Balloon’s theme song. Unfortunately, like a big dumb fool, I’ve never made any more music since then so what skills I’ve had atrophied to nothing most likely. I moved to making tabletop games and they don’t need music, you see. Lol

I haven’t worked on any computer games recently either because of that. Big Red Balloon is okay for a small, arcade-y game imo. It’s got a few unlockable balloon skins and some random events that can happen, but I had plans for a deluxe version; with a ton more content and random elements for the level generator. But alas, I do not know if I’ll ever work on computer games again, as my skills in that hobby have also atrophied.
